 Mwingi Bus Wreckage Retrieved The wreckage of the bus which plunged into River Enziu was retrieved on Sunday, December 5. Images seen by Kenyans.co.ke show the bus being pulled out of the river by a crane and an excavator. Kitui County Governor, Charity Ngilu, took to social media, stating that the recovery process was still ongoing. "The ill fated bus wreckage has been retrieved from the river bed and the process of ascertaining whether there are any more bodies still trapped in the wreckage or the river bed continues," she stated. President Uhuru Kenyatta earlier on Sunday, December 5, sent his heartfelt condolences to the families that lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident in Mwingi, Kitui County. Kenyatta also wished a quick recovery to those that were injured in the unfortunate incident. The Head of State reminded Kenyans across the country to heed Government advisory against attempting to cross swollen rivers especially during the current rainy season.
